13. Grating Installation

The steel grating can be installed and fixed in many ways. Typically, welding installation, fastener fixing and angle steel fixing are three methods we commonly used for steel grating installation.

Falls of Materials/ Tools	1. Can occur by hand materials and tools, etc. Being accidentally dropped through the gratings during the grating installation process	1. Personnel shall ensure that access/egress below the area of grating removal is restricted so as to reduce any possibility of injury to personnel. 2. Where restricted access impedes any emergency escape route, a suitable alternative route shall be implemented and all personnel advised as to the alternative arrangements (at TBM preferably)
Falls of Gratings	1. Can occur if gratings are not controlled and/or sucure.	1. The use of rigging equipment to remove gratings shall be considered as the first method of work. 2. Dual lifts shall be used wherever possible so as to ensure better control of the grating being installed.

그래이팅 설치, 아주 간단합니다. ^^

철판을 도면의 지정된 위치에 올려놓고 클립으로 조이면 됩니다. 

단순한 이 과정이 사실 너무 위험하죠!! Steel Grating이 너무 무거워요. 이걸 고소작업으로 하려다보니 낙하물(그래이팅), 추락사고가 빈번하게 발생되고 있습니다.

현장에서는 하부 통제는 당연한 거죠! 안전로프(생명줄)은 필수적입니다.

많은 곳에 그래이팅 설치가 필요한 건 사실이지만, 개인적으로 굳이! 굳이! 여기에 Steel Grating으로 설계가 필요할까 싶은 곳도 많이 있습니다.

플랜트 현장의 경우, 단순 계단!! 일상에서는 이케아의 계단!!

화재에 대비하기 위하여 Steel Grating을 사용할 수도 있겠지만, 다른 재질은 없을까 하는 아쉬움이 항상있습니다.

이런 재료가 분명히 어딘가에 있을거고, 설치 적용하면, 가격/시공에서 많은 이점이 있을텐데요.

어떤 재질의 Grating을 사용하면 좋을까요? 일반계단 같은 곳에…..^^;
