Job Safety Analysis (JSA, 위험성평가)

JOB SAFETY ANALYSIS (JSA)

is a systematic process that breaks down a job into a sequence of steps, identifies hazard in each step, evaluates the actual and potential risk of the hazard and establishes risk control measures.

Work Method Statement (WMS, Method of Statement)

is a document detailing how a particular task or activity will be carried out. It should detail the possible daners/risks associated with particular part of the project and the methods of control to be established to show how the work will be managed safely.

Job Safety Analysis (JSA) Flow

1. Preparation of WMS

2. Break down the job into steps

3. Identify the hazards in each step

4. Identify who and what will be at risk

5. Determine the safety control measures

JSA는 위험성평가 여러 방법들 중에 하나입니다.

일반적으로 WMS를 작성 및 검토 후, JSA를 작성 및 현장 안전관리에 활용되고 있습니다.

향후에는 별도 JSA 폴더를 추가하여 일반적인 작업에 있어서 Initial JSA를 업로드 할 계획입니다.

WMS가 작성되는 모든 Activity에는 JSA가 함께 첨부된다고 생각하시면, 언제 작성해야하는 궁금증은 해결되리라 생각되네요. 작성된 JSA 를 갖고 필히 관계자와 협의 및 검토가 이뤄져야 하구요.

JSA를 갖고 Likelihood & Severity 를 정량화 한다면 이는 기본적인 위험성평가 (Risk Assessment)가 됩니다.
